Distribution
In France, distribution of books and comic strip from all the group publishers is looked after
by a specialist subsidiary, Glénat Diffusion, who distribute through some 1000 leading
bookshops in the area.
Distribution through other channels (hypermarkets, other bookshops, wholesalers,
libraries,…) is handled by Hachette.
Magazine distribution is looked after in France by the MLP and the NMPP.
In addition, Editions le Chasse-Marée distribute their production by mail order, together
with books from other publishers, as well as prints, models and other items for lovers of
the sea…..
The Bookshops
Glénat has developed a network of bookshops specialising in comic strip, which markets
its titles and the greater part of its French production. These bookshops enable the Glénat
Group to better understand the market and its tendencies, and to increase direct contact
with the readers.
Today there are 8 of these bookshops (2 in France in Lyon and
Grenoble, 6 in Belgium in Brussels and Louvain)
